DETROIT'S PROSPECTS DEPTH CAN PROPEL THE TEAM
The Red Wings have one of the most elite prospects pools in the entire National Hockey League.
Some may argue that it is the very best, which is impressive for a franchise that has not had a first overall draft pick since 1986! That said, there are many Detroit fans clamoring for the team to do more to incorporate young talent into a lineup that still relies heavily on veteran talent. In centers Marco Kasper and Nate Danielson, the Wings boast two future two-way forwards. Between the pipes, both Trey Augustine and Sebastian Cossa have bright futures in the NHL. Defensemen Axel Sandin-Pellikka, Albert Johansson and Shai Buium, plus wingers Carter Mazur, Michael Brandsegg-Nygard and Elmer Soderblom, round out the organization's top-10 prospects.
