Vancouver Canucks

Western Conference - Pacific division

Predicted Finish: 2nd

CAN THE CANUCKS EXCEED ELEVATED EXPECTATIONS?

Raise your hand if you had Vancouver winning the Pacific Division in 2023-24.

To those who did, congratulations and go buy yourselves a lottery ticket today. For the rest of us mere mortals, the Canucks were easily one of the surprise NHL teams last campaign. In fact, their 50-23-9 regular-season record was the main catalyst for a pair of end-of-year trophies earned by Canucks: Rick Tocchet won the Jack Adams Award as the coach of the year, while Quinn Hughes won his first Norris Trophy for best defenseman. This season, Vancouver will not be sneaking up on anyone. They should be expected to build off of an impressive and surprising 2023-24 performance, and also go a little deeper in the Stanley Cup playoffs.

Can the Canucks do it again? Or is a slight market correction in store for 2024-25?
