The Sharks will look radically different in 2024-25, especially up front.
Along with integrating their top two picks from the last two drafts (Macklin Celebrini, first overall in '24; Will Smith, fourth overall in '23), San Jose did a good job of insulating their prized prospects with quality veterans such as winger Tyler Toffoli, center Alex Wennberg and forwards Barclay Goodrow, Ty Dellandrea and Carl Grundstrom. The Sharks will also (hopefully) have captain Logan Couture back in the lineup this season, after he was limited to just six games in 2023-24. Also, new goaltender Yaroslav Askarov could be a massive addition to the squad.
The blueline is different thanks to newcomers Jake Walman and Cody Ceci, but it is the forward group that should be completely revamped and improved in '24-25.
