STALWART SWAYMAN TO STAR AS BOSTON'S STARTER?
All good things must come to an end in professional sports.
Especially in a salary-cap league like the NHL. For the Boston Bruins, the 2024-25 season will feel somewhat different in terms of the team's goaltending situation. For the last three years, the duo of Jeremy Swayman and Linus Ullmark each produced 20-plus wins and provided the Atlantic Division squad with arguably the best netminding combination in the entire league. However, the Bruins needed to upgrade at both center and defense this off-season, so they decided to trade veteran Ullmark to division-rival Ottawa (instead of keeping him in the final year of his contract). Center Elias Lindholm and defenseman Nikita Zadorov were acquired as expensive free agents.
This is very much Swayman's team now. Expect him to play 55-plus games.
