MICHKOV MANIA: WHO PLAYS WITH FLYERS' PHENOM?
All eyes will be on Russian right-winger Matvei Michkov in Philadelphia this season.
Arguably, Michkov is the most anticipated Flyers rookie since Eric Lindros in 1992. But even Lindros had help in the form of his eventual ''Legion of Doom'' linemates (John LeClair and Mikael Renberg). So, who will play with Michkov in 2024-25? The Flyers have plenty of options at left wing: Tyson Foerster, Owen Tippett and Joel Farabee are all solid options, while Travis Konecny can also play left wing. However, the center position is less deep in Philly. Vet Sean Couturier may be perfect for Michkov due to his defensive prowess, but can he keep up? Morgan Frost has the talent to play with Michkov, but is he on the trading block?
Chances are, Michkov's long-term pivot is not currently on the Flyers roster.
