SHOULD THE KINGS GO IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION?
Many Kings fans were clamoring for big changes this past summer.
Instead, president Luc Robitaille and GM Rob Blake (two Kings legends) will remain in their current positions for the foreseeable future. Furthermore, Jim Hiller (who replaced Todd McLellan as head coach last season) had the interim tag removed from his name over the summer. Los Angeles hockey fans want the team to play a more entertaining brand of hockey, instead of the 1-3-1 defensive system that has been a staple of the franchise for a long time. However, none of the moves made by the organization this off-season (trading Pierre-Luc Dubois; adding Tanner Jeannot, Warren Foegele and Joel Edmundson) suggest that the Kings will be radically different this season.
For Kings fans, it might feel like Groundhog Day a lot in '24-25.
